Shot a wedding!

Finally shot a wedding for a friend, not something I would normally shoot or even normally look for. It's a lot of work, a lot of stress, and it's all on my shoulders to get the images - that's ok, but it's also a lot of planning and time with the couple over the course of months, which is something I really don't have at the moment.

I guess I like to shoot SUV's...

Was doing an engagement session for this couple and as we were waiting for the makeup and hair to get done (it takes time sometimes) the groom to be and I shot the shit and took a few pics of their Land Rover. It was a great way to use up some time, start a conversation, and get a few cool images for them if they ever sell the car. Not to mention it was a pretty hot day (weird for Nov) and the weather was perfect.

The trick to shooting cars, in fact to shooting anything, is to make the most of what you have and work with the limits rather than try to force things or make equipment do what it's not meant for. By knowing how to place lights a person can get by using hand held flashes or in my case a beauty dish, pretty effectively, rather than calling in a lighting truck with a softbox the size of a garage.
